Hello,
When I activate RLM-Server using a floating license, the following information is displayed. The computer can be connected to the Internet.
Trelis Version:Trelis 17.1
Platform : Ubuntu 20.04
RLM-Server:17.0
This older version of RLM Server is attempting to connect to csimsoft.com, which now redirects to coreform.com. Unfortunately our activation logic isn’t smart enough to follow redirects, so you’ve got a couple options:
- Upgrade your RLM Server to the latest, OR
- Manually create your license file and copy it into your RLM Server installation directory, following the instructions at https://coreform.com/support/activation/cubit/activateoffline/
If I use RLM Server 2020.2, can I use this server to host Trelis 17.1 license certificate?
I believe that should work, yes. Don’t delete your 17.1 install and license files until you confirm that the upgraded license server works, though.
I used the offline installation method and copied the license to the RLM-Server installation directory. But when I want to activate Trelis 17.1, the connection is refused by the server, and I cannot log in to localhost:5054, the firewall of the workstation is closed and I can connect to the network.
@zgq I’d be happy to hop on a call with you to help diagnose the issue, I’ll send you a private message to arrange a time.
For other people who may come across this thread:
The RLM service was no longer running, and the rlm.sh start
command was not working because the RLM Server installation directory had been moved and the path written into the rlm.sh
script was no longer valid. After the path inside rlm.sh
was updated to the correct value, the server started up correctly and the license checkout succeeded.
