Missing curve names when importing .stp files to Coreform Cubit 2021.11

Hi all,

I am using Coreform Cubit 2021.11 and I am having a problem with importing a STEP file to Coreform Cubit.

It seems that version 2021.11 cannot read the names of free curves in a STEP file, even when I use cubit.cmd(“set read step body names on”). I was able to get all the curve names on Coreform Cubit 2020.2, but for some reasons it did not work on version 2021.11.

To import the STEP file, I used the following options:

  • Separate Multi-Volume Bodies
  • Import All Names

Could you tell me what is causing the problem of missing curve names and how to fix it?

If you can supply a simple STEP file with curve names, we can investigate this issue more easily.
