Do you know how I can get a Wavefront OBJ or ANSYS ANS file into Cubit?
Steve Owen at Sandia wrote an ansexo translator that takes a CDWRITE file and converts it to Exodus. But I think that is all that there is right now. As far as the OBJ format, it is just facet data so it wouldn’t be hard to convert it to Cubit facet format but you wouldn’t be able to do a lot with the mesh based geometry.
I got some feedback. It may require a few translations, so not ideal. I am trying to get geometry generated from Coventor SEMulator3D. It appears Coventor is pretty lacking in the export department. It can make accurate geometry, but I can’t get it out of their program to use it! I need meshable geometry.
