Somehow the coordinate axis has disappeared from the design window. Could someone please tell how to restore it.

Two ways.
- From the command prompt type
graphics triad on - From the GUI use Tools/Options and go to the Display panel click Display Triad on. Using the GUI will save the setting for the next session.
Thank you very much for letting me know. Actually I found that the triads were on, it was hidden behind my command line window since that window was detached
