Just reporting this error and solution in case it is useful for anyone else.
When installing the DAGMC plugin with Coreform_Cubit_2021.4 on Ubuntu 20.04 noticed the following error.
Installing the additional library appears to have solved it
sudo apt-get install libhdf5-serial-dev
