CF Process now supports global refinement on geometry, and preserves selections made prior to the refinement. This process can be described as follows:
Create a geometry and make a selection:
Go to the “Feature Tree” tab and right click the patch
Click on h-refinement and see the geometry and selection update:
Face and edge selection now work with solids, use the subdomain_elems card to use these selections
Nodes can now be selected for all geometry, go to Selection lists and chose “points”
Then click the “show control points”
Select the nodes and use the subdomain_domain_nodes card to use the selection. NOTE: These selections will NOT be updated during refinement.
Workflow now exists to import LS-DYNA files using “space k”. This technology is still under development, and it is recommended that you leave the “Only translate mesh elements” to true since not all materials, boundary conditions, etc are supported yet.
